YingYang for Mothers and Daughters
An Art Therapy group about Healthy Relationships for Women

With Artist / Art Therapist Jas Milam, MAAT

In this eight week session teens and moms will learn that healthy relationships are formed by healthy people, to this end we will use a variety of art media and assignments designed to teach young people how to prepare for and attract healthy relationships. The emphasis in this groupis on beoming well-balanced and authentic individuals in all types of relationships -- with friends, the opposite sex, parents, God and self. Topics will include the individual's responsibility to recognize and develop their own masculine and feminine sides on their way to being whole, how to avoid addicitons and "reputations", the politics of living in groups and the importance of a daily spiritual practice.

This class is not sex education and has no religious agenda. Rather it is a look at the spiritual principles developed by generations of saits, mystics and wise women taught through didactic teaching, hand on art making and processing in a small, safe group of other mother / daughter pairs.
